Mottled Bee-fly
Mottled Bee-flies
The Mottled Bee-fly is a rarely seen insect which favours warm, sandy or gravelly habitats where its host species lives.
Adults feed on nectar and are most often found in warm places with flowers such as heather.
The bee-fly depends on sandy habitats, so will benefit from the work experts at Amphibian and Reptile Conservation have done through the Species Survival Fund project.
