Hampshire Purslane

Hampshire Purslane is a nationally rare aquatic plant and the New Forest is the only place in the UK where it is found in abundance.

Its main threats in the Forest include a lack of suitable management and non-native invasive plant species.

Work undertaken through the Species Survival Fund project created and restored ponds which helped – and will continue to help – support rare species like this in the future.
