About the New Forest Green Groups Network
Working with our communities is crucial in tackling climate and nature recovery.
Together we:
- Share information and expertise
- Work together on events such as the New Forest and Hampshire County Show, Climate cafes, eco fairs, repair cafes, workshops and film screenings
- Join up on projects such as the Youth for Climate and Nature (YouCAN) scheme
- Find funding for initiatives (such as through the Sustainable Communities Fund)
- Promote the Climate and Nature Challenge pledge.
Sustainable Communities Fund
Through our Sustainable Communities Fund, around £2.4m has been provided to over 300 projects since 2006 which have helped to reduce the carbon footprint of the New Forest National Park and improve nature.
