From winding rivers to expansive heathland, ancient woodland to stunning coastline – the New Forest has it all.

This makes it a great place for young people to get excited about nature and learn to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places.

Explore, Learn and Get Involved

Our opportunities for young people are open to everyone, whatever your background and whether you’re taking part as an individual, with friends, as a group, or through an organisation.

From hands-on conservation activities to outdoor learning and volunteering, there are plenty of ways for young people to explore the New Forest, build new skills and connect with nature.

If you’re a teacher, youth leader or organising a visit with a group, take a look at our opportunities for schools and groups to see what’s available. Visit: opportunities for schools and groups.
